This Yorkshire Synod Conference follows earlier successful events which helped members of many churches in Yorkshire and beyond look again at their buildings as assets for mission.
Under the heading of 'SIGNIFICANCE AND CHANGE' it will examine the role of the historic church building in modern mission, illustrated by case studies from rural North Yorkshire and Kent.
Because, following recent government policy changes, the concept of 'significance' now has a central role in considering how a church building can be adapted for mission, ample time will be given to studying the implications of the new arrangements for churches.
