Are you interested in local history and heritage? For the first time we are bringing
together celebrated local experts for a South Yorkshire local heritage day:
Professor Mel Jones: The ‘Radio Sheffield History Man’ and Visiting Professor in
Landscape History at Sheffield Hallam University. Mel is the author of many local
history books across the South Yorkshire area, and has appeared on the BBC’s
‘Who Do You Think You Are?’.
Professor David Hey: David Hey is Emeritus Professor of Local and Family History
at the University of Sheffield and the author of several books, including ‘A History
of Yorkshire: ‘County of the Broad Acres’.
Pat McLaughlin: Is Local Heritage Officer with HERITAGE INSPIRED. He has a
wealth of knowledge about our heritage faith sites.
