BRASS RUBBING

Venue: KIRK SANDAL St Oswald
Dates: 15 August 2010 - 15 August 2010

Time: 12:00pm - 4:00pm

Brass rubbing activity for children. Modest charge to cover materials.

Organised by The Friends of St Oswald’s Church. The group was set up to promote this architecturally important 11th century building that is now in the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. We try to spread the word about this lovely small church and recruit local people to work with us to restore it to its role in the community and particularly encourage local schools to make full use of the building as an educational and historical resource. During May to September we hold an Open Day/Days at least once per month. Although the church is no longer in regular use a few services are held here courtesy of the Rectory of the Church of the Good Shepherd.
